Who we are
Hayat Foundation is a non-government, non-profit and non-political organization which was registered with Social Welfare Department, Mogadishu in 2012 under Registration & Control Ordinance. Its registration number is 369/DDSW/FSD/95. Later on, it got registered under the MoH Registration Act, XXI of 1860, in 2005. Legally, it canperform its activities in all over the country.

Our Vision
Formation of a healthy and balanced society where masses lives peacefully having freedom of thinking and action, where there is no discrimination, harassment, abuse, neglect and exploitation. Where, all the women and children rights are respected according to the Convention on Elimination of all forms of Discrimination against Women (CEWDA) and Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) and other national and international treaties.

Our Mission
Empowering trivial communities particularly youth, women, and children by raising their social, economic and health status for better social protection through “Community Action Processes”.

Our Objectives
• To develop and upgrade the health standards of peoples, especially from the lowprofile communities through social mobilization. • To highlight/ undertake the issues related to Child protection from HIV/AIDS and otherSexual transmitted diseases through Life Skill Based Education (LSBE), mother & childhealth care and family planning services.
• To motivate, mobilize, sensitize and promote the spirit of child protection, education (normal and special) and human right among the duty bearers and right holders through participatory development techniques and linkage development with the Government and other similar organizations.
• To respond sharply in case of any kind of emergency throughout the country (flood, or armed conflict areas), to help and protect the women and children’s rights.
